Owned and operated by the Breckbill's for four generations, Logpointe housekeeping cottages has been providing family vacations for over 80 years. Four handcrafted log and pine cottages are situated on 10 acres and 800 feet of private shoreline, each overlooking the shores of Muskoka's beautiful Gloucester Pool, part of the Famous Trent Severn Waterway. From your cottage with its'own private dock, one can enjoy beautiful views and easy access to one of Muskoka's most beautiful bodies of water, the Severn River, "the river of lakes and bays". Wide vistas and dozens of pine clad islands create Gloucester Pool, the entrance from Georgian Bay to the Trent Severn Waterway.
These two and three bedroom, Muskoka style housekeeping cottages contain fully equipped kitchens, 4 piece baths (some with Whirlpool tubs), family living areas with hardwood or wood laminate floors, stone fireplaces (gas), double hide-a-bed sofas, air conditioning, Satellite TV with DVD, carpeted bedrooms with either single, double or queen beds, covered outdoor porches or sundecks, outdoor gas BBQ's, and private docks.
Your housekeeping cottage comes equipped with all of the cooking and eating utensils you should require. It is supplied with bed linens, towels, and washcloths for the number of people reserved. Kitchen towels, toilet paper and a small starter basket of dish detergent, coffee filters, coffee, and bar soap is provided for your convenience. (beach towels and life jackets are not provided) Many of our guests bring their own boats and convenient launching facilities are available at White Falls Marina approximately one kilometer away at an extra charge.
The surrounding woodlands provide you with beautiful mature trees and granite outcroppings typical of Muskoka and gives you the feeling that you are at your own private cottage. The open areas near the water provide ample space for yard games or sunbathing. The south facing shore overlooks shallow, sandy swimming suitable for the youngest of swimmers. Over the footbridge to our private island provides diving and deep water swimming areas for the most accomplished swimmer. You can choose to fill your day with canoeing, kayaking, paddleboating, jumping on the water trampoline, fishing or boating, horseshoes, badminton or just relaxing with your family and friends and then ending your day around a waterfront campfire enjoying one of Muskoka's spectacular sunsets.
